I use The Hosting Heroes Limited, a UK-based hosting provider, to host this Service. While I do not explicitly share any data with them, they operate my website and hold and maintain the database upon which this Service relies. Google Analytics and Tag Manager tracks and reports how people interact with and use our Service. Google Analytics uses only Usage Data. We do not send any Personal Data to Google Analytics. Google’s privacy policy is available here.
SmarterMail is a secure email service that provides end-to-end encryption for email communication. It protects the privacy of its users and ensures our emails cannot be intercepted or read by unauthorised parties. When you submit a form from this Service, it sends the details to me by email. I use Norton 360 anti-spam and firewall services to protect my website, and from security threats like hacking attempts and malware infections. We send your IP address to Norton as part of this service. Their privacy policy is available here.
I accept messages using WhatsApp Messenger for Business. If you send me a message using WhatsApp, they will use your IP address and email address to process your message. The message body is end-to-end encrypted, so WhatsApp cannot read any of the messages you send. WhatsApp also has a privacy policy here.
If you leave a comment, I keep the comment and its metadata indefinitely.
If you submit a form, I store the information provided for as long as required to deliver the service requested.
Under GDPR, you have rights over your Personal Data. If you have an account on my website or have left a comment on a post, you can request details of any data I hold. You can also request that I erase any Personal Data I hold about you. The right to erasure does not include any data I must keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
I store and process your data on secure, UK-based servers without external access to your data. My website is built using industry-standard software on The Hosting Heroes, automatically updated to the current release, to help prevent data breaches.
I have never had a data breach. If I discover any infringement, I will notify all affected parties per data protection legislation and best practices.
I reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. If I make any changes, I will update the Privacy Policy on this page and indicate the revision date. Your continued use of my website after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
