Anxiety can take many forms — constant worrying, physical tension, racing thoughts, or a sense of dread that something bad is about to happen. For some, it can build into overwhelming fear or panic attacks that seem to appear out of nowhere, leaving you feeling frightened, exhausted, and out of control.
Although anxiety can feel isolating, it is a natural response to feeling unsafe or overwhelmed — your body’s way of protecting you. Counselling offers a calm, supportive space to explore what’s driving those feelings and to understand the triggers and thoughts that keep them alive.
As an integrative counsellor, I can draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to help you:
Together, we can work at your pace to help you feel more grounded, present and in control. Over time, counselling can help you develop a kinder relationship with your thoughts and emotions, and rediscover a sense of calm and safety within yourself.
“The key to healthy communication is having a willingness to lay aside our defensive tendencies and accept responsibility for our part of the relationship.” – Dr Asa Don Brown
